Griffin Gaming Partners has purchased the mobile publishing arm of Playdigious from Sweden’s Fragbite Group for €10.5 million ($12.2 million) in cash.
Playdigious is known for bringing acclaimed PC and console titles like Dead Cells, TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge, Loop Hero, and Streets of Rage 4 to mobile. The acquisition gives Griffin full ownership of Playdigious’ mobile publishing business, while Fragbite will retain 90% of revenue from Playdigious’ PC-focused label, Playdigious Originals, covering games such as Fretless, Crown Gambit, Linkito, and The Almost Gone.
Fragbite acquired Playdigious in 2021 for €5 million and described the sale as a “successful investment,” with the studio now valued more than double its acquisition price. The deal strengthens Fragbite’s capital position, supporting its new ventures in Bitcoin treasury operations, esports, and work-for-hire services.
Playdigious accounted for roughly 77% of Fragbite’s 2024 revenue, with a book value of SEK 97.1 million ($10.3 million) at the time of sale. Fragbite CEO Stefan Tengvall praised the Playdigious team and expressed confidence that the studio will “continue to grow under Griffin’s experienced leadership.”
The transaction closed immediately upon signing, with Griffin also taking warranty insurance as part of the deal.
