Warren Buffett Comes in: Google Up, Apple Down

Gamigion

Just put a 4.3 Billion USD position in Alphabet…

Alphabet instantly became one of Berkshire’s top ten holdings. They rarely touch tech, so this caught everyone’s eye.

At the same time, they reduced their Apple position by 75%. Pretty wild rotation considering how long Apple has been their golden child.

Meanwhile… AppLovin is doing AppLovin things

The stock has been on a rollercoaster the entire year.

Big spikes, big dips, a lot of noise, a lot of rumors, and a lot of people trying to make sense of the swings. After a massive run to almost six hundred, it pulled back again.

Anyone watching the ad tech space knows it’s been a masterclass in volatility.

And right next to all of this, Apple dropped a bomb

Apple officially rolled out its Mini Apps Partner Program with an 85% revenue share.

They want mini apps living inside existing apps. No installs. Just HTML5 and JS. Full IAP support at a fifteen percent fee.

It’s a smart bet given where the ecosystem is right now. Rising CAC. Fragmented organic. Users tired of downloading anything new. Mini apps remove the friction entirely. If you already own the traffic, you can turn your app into a mini platform and host third-party experiences for fresh revenue.

Kudos to Stan Heropolitanski for his sharp breakdown of the whole shift.

Why this moment feels connected

Buffett rotates from Apple to Google.
AppLovin keeps swinging like a crypto chart.
Apple makes distribution more embedded and less install-dependent.

Everything is pointing to the same direction. Distribution is changing. The install is becoming optional. Apps with traffic become platforms. And for founders, this opens a second acquisition path that has nothing to do with the classic CAC math.

We’re entering a world where partnership surface area might matter as much as UA.

And if Apple nails the execution, install-less experiences might finally hit the mainstream right as Google steps out of the arena.
