India-based VC firm ChimeraVC has launched a new $10 million early-stage fund focused on gaming across India and Asia, with a spotlight on mobile. The fund is already in action, having led a $1M pre-seed round for Bengaluru’s hybridcasual studio Qila Games.
Backing founders ahead of trends, not after the hype.
Spearheaded by Krish Anurag, Yashmit Kedia, and Mohit Mohan, ChimeraVC is targeting early bets across mobile-first game studios, AR/VR, Web3, creator tools, and infrastructure.
What sets ChimeraVC apart:
Speed over committees: Fast decisions and investments
Deep involvement: Hands-on support with product, team, and strategy
Global reach: Access to a network of gaming leaders and creatives
Typical first cheques are around $150K, with follow-ons of $500–700K into 4–6 breakout winners over time.
Chimera’s first investment backs Qila Games, a hybridcasual studio founded in 2024 by Dhananjai Hari and Neeraj Mishra. Their debut game, Ludo Hero, launched in February 2025, reimagines the classic Ludo format with hero mechanics, social layers, and meta progression. The fresh funding will help Qila scale its IP and build out tech and design teams.
This move highlights growing investor momentum in India’s mobile gaming scene, and ChimeraVC is positioning itself as an early backer of the next wave.
