Top 10 Hybridcasual Games in Q3 2025

Andrei Zubov

Hybridcasual keeps gaining traction in 2025, blending Hypercasual core loops with Сasual-inspired features and deeper monetization. Back in Q1 2025, our quarterly Top 10 reviews shifted from Hyper to Hybrid, evolving along with the market trends. As Hybridcasual hits continue to scale revenue steadily quarter after quarter, our goal remains the same: to understand exactly what pushes them forward.

IAP growth of the Hypercasual market

Before we dig deeper, let’s make one thing clear: Hybridcasual remains a broad and flexible term, stretching across the spectrum from lighter Casual games to more accessible Midcore titles. To keep our analysis focused on what is truly shaping the Hypercasual space these days, we stuck to the same proven method as before: filtering Hypercasual-tagged titles by top-grossing performance. This helps us spotlight all IAP-heavy games that clearly fall into the Hybridcasual zone.

Now, let’s take a closer look at the Q3 2025 top titles and see what’s powering their ongoing rise!

Top 10 Hybridcasual Games in Q3 2025

In our previous overview of Q2, we highlighted how Top 10 Hybridcasual games had doubled their revenue compared to Q2 2024, and now the momentum was only getting stronger, with a 114% YoY increase in that quarter. What’s interesting, though, is that most of this growth still comes from familiar names. The market’s top performers maintain their remarkably stable growth, with even fewer newcomers than in the previous quarter.

Top 10 Hyper\Hybridcasual games as a trend

Once again, the hybrid monetization model proves its strength as a reliable framework for scaling revenue and sustaining long-term performance. By blending accessibility with depth, these games secure longer lifespans on the charts, even in a space where trends can rise and fade in a matter of weeks.

And while the overall picture appears steady, the details tell a different story. Zooming in on the revenue distribution, we see that Puzzle games, which owned half of all Hybridcasual revenue in Q2 2025, have by now expanded their share to over 60%. Arcade remains in second place, even if slipping slightly from 35% to 32%.

The biggest change, however, comes from Simulation, which outpaced Action to close out the Top 3 subgenres with a 2.3% share of all Hybridcasual revenue. The rise of this niche was largely driven by two Hybridcasual hitsDreamy Room by ABI Games Studio and Dinosaur Universe by Supercent. Together, they generated over $3M in IAP revenue in Q3, pushing the category forward and proving once again that Hybridcasual monetization can scale well across subgenres.

Revenue distribution for the top 3 genres

If we break down the Top 10 Hybridcasual games by genre, however, it’s clear that Puzzles lead the way:

The chart itself hasn’t changed much since Q2 2025: only two newcomers have broken in, replacing former leaders: — Voodoo’s Epic Plane Evolution fell out of the top ranks, despite its +13% QoQ growth. As we noted in our earlier deep dive, its Hypercasual DNA still holds it back: without a strong meta or LiveOps, sustained retention remains a challenge. — Meanwhile, Tower War by SayGames saw only a 3.5% dip in revenue, but even a small slowdown like this opened the door for others to overtake.

To see the bigger picture, we studied the chart dynamics using our new Period Comparison tool. So far, the Top 4 titles remain unchanged, with some minor shifts further down the list. But that doesn’t mean there’s nothing to analyze—quite the opposite. The steady growth of established leaders shows just how polished their strategies have become, while their consistency raises the bar for any newcomers hoping to break through.

Top 10 Hybridcasual Games’ growth: Q3 2025 vs Q2 2025

In Q3, download numbers also went up for most top performers thanks to their intuitive and engaging cores that keep CPIs low, especially when paired with the latest UA trends, such as AI-executed creatives or social feed formats. We covered these tactics in our recent article, so this time, our focus shifts to the deeper systems that make Hybridcasual games both scalable and sustainable.

Before we examine how top performers sustain their long-term success, let’s start with the new names that have claimed their rightful place among the best.

Two New Hits Breaking into the Top 10

No.8: Coin Sort by Lion Studios| Revenue: $5.4M | Downloads: 4.8M | 🆕

Coin Sort revenue & downloads

The first breakout of Q3, Coin Sort, stormed into the Top 10 after growing its monthly revenue by 9 times in just three months. Released by Lion Studios, the studio behind Casual hits like Match 3D and Hexa Sort, the game borrows from the best Hybridcasual practices, pairing a simple core loop with smart monetization and LiveOps design.

Coin Sort’s core mechanics are easy to grasp: you just sort and merge coins to clear the board. Each tap on the “deal” button places a new random set of coins, adding a thrill of randomness and creating an endless but diverse loop. With no distinct levels, the core feels more addictive, and yet progression remains clearly defined and tracked as players keep merging coins and watch their values rise.

You may notice how Coin Sort actually reimagines the viral “water sort” mechanics that once dominated the Sort Puzzle charts with hits like Water Sort Puzzle and Get Color – Water Sort Puzzle. Now, instead of pouring colored water, players organize colored coins.

And it’s not just about visuals: the game also deepens this core with merge mechanics and endless scaling inspired by 2048, keeping gameplay open-ended and increasingly demanding. The limited-lives system and paid boosters, available only through rewards or soft currency purchases, bring Hybridcasual depth to the core.

Rewarded ads are used with precision: they double rewards, earn temporary unlimited lives, and unlock access to events. Framing events as a reward in itself, rather than a pressure mechanic, shifts perception: players see them as achievements, not a forced feature to drive spending.

As difficulty ramps up, the pressure to spend builds naturally. Tiered bundles and the option to purchase ad-free access to challenges ensure that every player segment—from non-payers to spenders—has a clear upgrade path. The result is a balanced monetization model, where ads and IAP work hand in hand without disrupting accessibility.

The game carries its Hybridcasual approach into its LiveOps, offering daily challenges and Race events that push players’ progress faster within a set timeframe. These competitions work well by creating urgency and adding a degree of novelty to keep players coming back day after day.

Our recent LiveOps report pointed out that the Race format has become one of the hottest LiveOps trends in the Hybridcasual segment. In H1 2025, over 60% of Hybridcasual games featured this mechanic, and Coin Sort was quick to jump on the trend, showing how following market signals early can pay off nicely.

🎯 In a nutshell, Coin Sort gives the once-popular “water sort” puzzle a do-over, adding new visuals, merge mechanics, and an endlessly scaling loop. The game’s growth is supported by balanced monetization and light yet consistent LiveOps.

No.10: Crowd Express: Boarding Puzzle by Rollic | Revenue: $4.5M | Downloads: 3M | 🆕

Crowd Express: Boarding Puzzle revenue & downloads

Rollic continues to tighten its grip on the Hybridcasual market, now holding four of the Top 10 titles in Q3. Its latest hit, Crowd Express: Boarding Puzzle, went global in December 2024 and has shown steady revenue growth month after month, until finally entering the top ranks.

At its core, the gameplay smartly blends parking and sorting mechanics into a fluid and intuitive loop. Players move buses and cars to clear traffic jams and load passengers onto vehicles of matching colors. The design clearly draws inspiration from Parking Jam 3D. In fact, its daily challenges even replicate that gameplay, asking players to clear compact parking lots while navigating cleverly designed obstacles.

In true Rollic fashion, Crowd Express keeps the gameplay loop simple yet steadily evolving with a smooth difficulty curve and new features that emerge every few levels. This approach encourages players to think strategically, use boosters, or pay to retry without losing lives.

Rewarded ads are kept to a minimum, as they only double rewards and unlock daily challenges. Sounds familiar, right? That’s because this quarter’s new entries both use this simple trick to frame events as valuable rewards—a subtle but powerful shift in perception, and it might just be the next trend others will hop on soon.

We haven’t seen this feature in Knit Out or Hole People, and this time, Rollic also experiments with when and how LiveOps appear, making them part of early gameplay. Daily challenges unlock at level 13, giving players short, time-limited levels to complete. The battle pass becomes available at level 35, much sooner than in the other two titles, and its progression is tied to the difficulty of the main core, as players get more “tickets” for harder levels.

By level 54, a new booster called Magnet Power comes into play. It helps speed up the progress by removing up to three vehicles at the start of each level, depending on the player’s current win streak. This enhances motivation to maintain streaks, while subtly encouraging purchases of boosters and retries. Later, at level 60, players can join the Sky Race event and compete for a shared grand prize, which adds a low-key social layer to the experience.

All these milestones are displayed on the main screen from the very start, giving players a clear sense of goals and upcoming rewards. It’s a notable shift from Hole People or Knit Out, where LiveOps only appeared around level 50 with the seasonal pass. By introducing LiveOps gradually and earlier, the game ensures players are consistently motivated right from the start.

🎯 In a nutshellCrowd Express combines Rollic’s proven formula with the latest LiveOps trends, offering a fresh twist on the familiar Parking Jam core with more strategic depth, IAP-driven monetization, and a smoother LiveOps onboarding flow that keeps players engaged from early on.

Eight Leaders Still in the Top 10

But what’s even more impressive is how the established Hybridcasual leaders hold their ground month after month, reinforcing their dominance in the chart.

Now, let’s shift our focus to these long-standing top performers and see how they manage to stay relevant in such a fast-moving space.

No.1: Color Block Jam by Rollic | Revenue: $33M | Downloads: 18.6M

The reign of Color Block Jam continues. Despite a slight dip in revenue compared to Q2, the game still stands as the unchallenged leader of the Hybridcasual segment. Its strength lies in simplicity: rather than leaning heavily on LiveOps, Color Block Jam employs a refined hybrid core loop that blends Block Puzzle and Parking Jam mechanics.

Little has changed in the past three months within the game, which makes sense: no need to fix what’s not broken. That said, there’s still room for experimentation: in August, the game introduced summer packs priced between $1.99 and $10.99, aimed at different player segments to spark renewed interest. While these packs accounted for only 2% of the game’s IAPs, they show the studio’s ongoing focus on fine-tuning monetization and testing new offers.

Color Block Jam’s App Page History on AppMagic

The bigger story, however, unfolded behind the scenes. In July 2025, Take-Two Interactive Software completed the acquisition of Color Block Jam, transferring full rights and ownership to Zynga and Rollic. Once co-developed with Gybe Games, the title is now fully owned by Take-Two. Given Color Block Jam’s dominance in the Hybridcasual space since early 2025, this move comes as no surprise. And now the industry, of course, is watching closely to see how far this success story can go.

“One of the game’s strengths is its carefully designed difficulty curve and timers. The first session keeps players engaged for 20–30 minutes, then completion times shorten, and the challenge intensifies.”

No.2: Screwdom by iKame Games | Revenue: $29M | Downloads: 8.6M

After a major jump in Q2, Screwdom showed a relatively modest +18% rise this quarter, but it’s still a solid result for a title that’s been on the chart since early 2025. Once the game redefined the Screw Puzzle formula by shifting from simple 2D levels to more strategic 3D gameplay, it layered that foundation with steady LiveOps, keeping players engaged over the long term.

Now, the team continues to refine its event calendar. In August, Weekly Quests were removed and later replaced with the Tasty Recipe event, where players match color combinations to find the correct “recipe” and earn “jams” to unlock milestone rewards. With this change, the team shifted from simple weekly goals to staged event progression and more complex mechanics.

Then in September, Screwdom launched two competitive events: Screwdom’s Cup and Basketball League. Both featured leaderboards with rankings tied to the main core progression. Together with ongoing regular events, these two challenges sparked the quarter’s highest revenue spike at almost +15%.

At the same time, it also ran a new chain offer, designed for the summer season, but its top revenue drivers remain consistent: the $1.99 currency pack and the “Keep Up” offer ($4.99) available after a failed level. Combined, they still account for over 30% of total IAP revenue, but Screwdom continues to evolve, showing exactly how to grow through small yet smart adjustments.

“iKame Games has been steadily building expertise in the Screw Puzzle niche, launching a total of 9 titles in the genre. That experience laid the groundwork for Screwdom,”

No.3: All in Hole by Homa| Revenue: $16.5M | Downloads: 4.8M

Homa’s global hit sits tight in the 3rd spot, and its impact on mobile gaming stays strong, too. Once the game refreshed the classic Hole.io core loop into a more varied, goal-driven gameplay and stood out in the Eat & Grow subgenre. Today, it redefines the entire category, as 7 out of the top 10 Eat & Grow titles follow its visual cues and use the “hole” keyword in their ASO.

Top 10 Eat & Grow games in 2025

One of those successors, Hole Em All, was released in February 2025 and quickly reached $5M in lifetime revenue and 18.6M installs, surpassing the original in downloads. But when it comes to revenue, Homa’s hit remains well ahead, thanks to its strong IAP-first monetization, now powered by the new Treasure Pass added in July. And it looks like All in Hole isn’t giving up its crown anytime soon.

“Its success proves the power of pairing satisfying gameplay with short-term goals, clever event systems, mature monetization, and well-calibrated meta.”

No.4: Pocket Champs by Madbox | Revenue: $8.5M | Downloads: 4.9M

Pocket Champs secured the 4th position again this quarter, showing impressive stability for a Hybridcasual veteran launched all the way back in 2021. The game continues to thrive on its multiplayer Idle Racing core, sustaining long-term retention through a mix of regular events, which mostly build on its competitive nature through leaderboards.

In Q3, a notable update came with the Dragon Ascent event, where players complete main levels to unlock milestone rewards, and just a day after its launch, the game reached $131K in daily revenue, marking the title’s strongest performance of the quarter.

Even as a mature Hybridcasual title, Pocket Champs finds new ways to grow, refreshing its core with varied LiveOps tailored for competitive players. This time, the game achieved a +26% revenue increase compared to the last quarter, proving that a flexible yet well-targeted approach can keep even the oldest champions running strong.

No.5: Hole People by Rollic | Revenue: $8M | Downloads: 4M | ⬆️

After breaking into the Top 10 in Q2, Rollic’s Hole People has only picked up speed. Building on Sort Puzzle mechanics, the game adds a fresh tactical layer that keeps players thinking several steps ahead, while tapping into a trending theme inspired by All in Hole. Its IAP-first monetization strategy continues to prove effective, with revenue more than doubling compared to last quarter. In fact, it’s not Rollic’s only fresh title that has managed to pull that off…

“The game maintains a relatively high average check, largely driven by the “Fail” offer and the $1.99 Coin Pack. Together, the last two offers generate around 30% of monthly IAP revenue.”

No.6: Knit Out by Rollic | Revenue: $6.8M | Downloads: 3.6M | ⬆️

Knit Out climbed into the Top 6 this quarter, showing an impressive +161% QoQ growth. Much like Hole People, it follows Rollic’s signature formula: refreshed Sort Puzzle core + smooth difficulty curve + trending knitting theme once popularized by Wool Sort + well-balanced monetization with no heavy LiveOps.

Together with Hole People, these two titles climb the charts hand in hand, and that sustainable revenue growth reinforces Rollic’s reputation for scaling simple mechanics into long-term successes.

“Once again, the studio knows how to catch a wave. Knitting-themed games have been everywhere this year, and smart ASO helped Knit Out boost visibility.”

No.7: Mob Control by Voodoo | Revenue: $6.5M | Downloads: 18M | ⬇️

As you may remember, last quarter, Rollic and Voodoo shared half of the Top 10, but the picture has now changed: Rollic keeps adding new hits to the chart, while Mob Control stands as Voodoo’s last survivor. Still, it’s far from fading, and the game actually managed to grow +7% QoQ.

Despite being yet another Hybridcasual veteran from 2021, it stays relevant by pairing its simple “multiplying gates” core through evolving LiveOps. The Immortal Tiers event, introduced in June, is now a permanent fixture on the calendar. Aimed at top-tier players, it ties leaderboard rankings directly to the core loop progression, adding both prestige and social motivation to the experience.

Immortal Tiers in AppMagic’s LiveOps & Updates Calendar

Its monetization remains one of the game’s biggest strengths: skip tickets make up 15% of its purchases, driving IAP revenue while keeping IAA stream healthy, and specified personal offers from $0.99 to $32.99 contribute another 20% of the title’s total revenue (which is more than 1.3M in Q3, if we put it into numbers). This careful balance between accessibility and spending keeps the game stable and profitable for years, making it a model worth learning from.

“Mob Control shines in how it monetizes its audience, giving players a clear incentive to make their first purchase: any IAP removes interstitial and banner ads.”

No.9: Screw Sort Puzzle: Pin Jam 3D By BitEpoch | Revenue: $4.9M | Downloads: 3.3M | ⬇️

Another newcomer from Q2, Screw Sort Puzzle: Pin Jam 3D, continues to hold its ground in the chart. It stands out in the crowded Screw Puzzle segment by mixing 2D and 3D levels that deliver just enough of a challenge to feel rewarding.

Instead of relying solely on gameplay depth, it enhances retention through a simplified meta and a surprisingly rich event schedule for a fresh Hybridcasual title. With monetization leaning toward IAPs over ads, it highlights an effective strategy for the rising titles that aim to break through.

“Its real strength lies in blending ideas from both Casual and Hybridcasual hits: pre-select boosters similar to Royal Match and a simplified meta that gradually reveals collectible characters, like in Screw Jam.”

Conclusion and Key Takeaways

Q3 brought even fewer new titles to the Top 10, while established hits continued to grow stronger, further reinforcing the Hybridcasual model’s strength in achieving both rapid growth and long-term stability. With competition heating up, new entries have to offer something that feels familiar yet distinctly new. And that’s exactly how they did it in Q3:

  • Coin Sort reimagined the “water sort” Puzzles with a more complex core loop and simple yet consistent LiveOps that fuel both ad and in-app revenues, maintaining a healthy balance.
  • Crowd Express refined Rollic’s signature formula with a gradual rollout of LiveOps layered over familiar Parking Jam–inspired gameplay laced with Sort Puzzle mechanics.

Meanwhile, a quick recap of the established leaders reveals how many of them refine their event calendars with competitive events that drive main gameplay engagement and expand their influence across subgenres. Their IAP-first monetization tactics remain consistent and effective, while their reach continues to grow.

With each passing quarter, the Hybridcasual segment shifts from chasing quick hits to building systems that support scalable success. Long-standing leaders are setting ever higher standards, forcing newcomers to catch up, but the prize is no longer just a brief moment at the top—it’s sustainable growth and global hits that last.
