Supersonic’s SuperPitch: Studio Speed-Date?

Gamigion

Pitching games & Standing out in Hybrid-casual?

Just sat down with my dear friend Guy Yogev from SuperSonic.

Sharing our Studio Speed-Date chat with you since I find it valuable for the studios. 🤟🏻

Anyone not knowing them?

From Trash Tycoon to Screw Master, Supersonic has already published 130+ Games, hit 190M+ MAU, and racked up 6.4 Billion installs.

What’s SuperPitch?

They’re opening the door to just 8 studios, a live pitch session where selected teams will present their games and get real-time expert feedback.

As a part of the TEAM, let’s hear from THE GUY.

SuperPitch happens June 16.

🧩 What’s the quickest way to lose your audience during a game pitch?

Guy: Complexity kills. We’ve seen hundreds of decks.

The ones that win us over get to the point fast. Your pitch should scream “this is the fun” within 30 seconds. If we need to squint to understand your core loop, something’s off.

🚀 What gets your team genuinely excited about a submission?

Guy: We get pumped when we see bold mechanics executed with polish.

Not “polish” as in overproduced visuals—we are big believers in gameplay-first thinking. It’s about showing depth, clarity, and vision early. Bold mechanics will not do the trick if your core gameplay loop is not clear and easy to understand from the get-go.

When we see a studio take a smart, creative risk and back it with playtest results, we pay attention.

📈 How important is monetization in an early-stage pitch?

Guy: It’s huge. A fun loop gets you through the door, but monetization gets your game to market.

When you build your game, you should have a proper monetization plan that will direct us to plan ahead regarding chalk points and relief period. You don’t need a full economy model on day one—but we want to see that you’ve thought about retention and revenue, not just mechanics.

Our monetization team has a razor-sharp instinct for scalable economies. They’ll spot whether a game has a shot at being both sticky and profitable.

🧠 What advice would you give to someone prepping for SuperPitch?

Guy: Practice your story. This is not a Shark Tank—this is a conversation.

You’ve got 20 minutes with some of the best minds in mobile gaming, from growth talent, monetization strategists, to product experts, so own your narrative.

Why this game? Why your team? Why now?

If you show up with energy, clarity, and just enough data to back your gut, you’ll crush it.

Don’t let your enthusiasm take over everything- Your pitch should do the talking for you even after your presentation.

💬 What do most studios still get wrong when pitching?

Guy: Trying to “look big” instead of being real.

We’d rather see a great prototype and hear your genuine thoughts on where you want to take it than a flashy deck with no substance. Don’t try to impress with buzzwords; impress with insight.
